About Unbox the Room!

Unbox the Room is a peaceful simulation game for anyone who like to organise, decorate, and build their own living space. I am an interior designer who helps clients settle into their new homes by unpacking boxes, finding things, and putting them away properly. Everything from big sofas to small cups and books makes a complete environment.

Unbox the Room Discover

The fun of Unbox the Room is not to complete fast, but the feeling of little by little turning a messy room into a neat living area. There’s no clock to tick down, no need to rack up points, so you’re free to experiment with alternative setups.

The belongings in each house tell a tale about the owner. When you open the boxes you may uncover furniture, literature, personal goods and many small items relevant to the character’s life. There is also a Sandbox Mode in the game, besides the story mode, where you can decorate and play about with layouts without any restriction.

How to play the Unbox the Room game?

Unbox The Room

The Boxes are Opened

First, get the cardboard boxes in the room open. Look at what objects are in it to get an idea of where they should be put.

Furniture Arrangement

Arrange the sofa, tables, chairs, books, decorations and small stuff where you believe they should go. You can modify the room if you think it doesn't feel quite right.

Make Your Own Space

Not all rooms need to look the same. Try rearranging the furniture to create a room that is both aesthetically beautiful and feels like a true home.

Tips and Tricks Unbox the Room

First, unpack all the boxes and then decide where to put the room.

Put the big things in first, then the tiny things.

Give some space so the room does not feel too packed.

Experiment with various positions before settling.

Want more freedom? Try the Sandbox Mode.

Unbox the Room is great for a leisurely, non-competitive game that has no time constraint. The best part is opening each box and watching the room fill slowly.
